This is one thing I've been meaning to ask, what does this do?

I've tried checking the OL test box for the hell of it and can't see any difference in the data window.

I may have missed where this was covered but I can't recall seeing it in the help docs or videos.

I'm curious if anyone knows what the purpose of it is.
thanks

Someone DOES know what the purpose of that box is... Don't you just love a smartass answer?

Every time I'd act the role of a smartass my Dad used to say: "Ass. Everybody likes it at least a little... but nobody likes it smart."

Seriously though...

When you check the box, whatever Odds Line type you have saved in your settings on the User Sys Defs Screen - THAT Odds Line will appear in brackets to the right of the horse's name on the Text Report.

When the box isn't checked - then no odds line appears inside the brackets on the Text Report.

I still don't get it Jeff.

On my Sys Def page I use the USER DEF OL. Therefore on the report every horse has a UPROB and the associated oddsline next to its name.

What I'm not getting is the concept of an OL test box at the UDM level. Whether I check those boxes or leave them unchecked, I cannot see any difference on any report.

It applies to the Text Report and content written to the Plays.csv file.

When you refer to "the text report", what filename are you referring to?

I do use plays.csv all the time. But never knew there was anything in it with regard to oddslines.
