From what I've read Microsoft plans to support apps written in VB6 well into the future. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/vbrun/ms788708.aspx JCapper is a 32 bit app. Yet it's compatible on 64 bit machines because it runs in a 32 bit emulator called WOW... Windows on Windows. | TomV 10/20/2009 12:29:00 AM | A few notes on the XP Compatability Mode: 1) You must have the Professional or Ultimate versions of the software - Home Premium WILL NOT WORK 2) Windows Virtual PC requires a CPU with the Intel® Virtualization Technology or AMD-V™ feature turned on Link to check your CPU: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/support/configure-bios.aspx 3) You must download and install the Virtual PC software AND the Xp Compatability mode software Link: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx So the point is you will have to do a little work to get the compatability mode working and you must have the appropriate versions of the software in order to use it (Pro or Ultimate).
