Anticipating... no.

Will there be some... probably.

But nothing that can't be overcome.

From what I've read Microsoft plans to support apps written in VB6 well into the future.

JCapper is a 32 bit app. Yet it's compatible on 64 bit machines because it runs in a 32 bit emulator called WOW... Windows on Windows.

W7 has an XP Compatibility Mode... which I'm thinking should enable JCapper to run just fine.

A few notes on the XP Compatability Mode:

1) You must have the Professional or Ultimate versions of the software - Home Premium WILL NOT WORK

2) Windows Virtual PC requires a CPU with the Intel® Virtualization Technology or AMD-V™ feature turned on

Link to check your CPU:

3) You must download and install the Virtual PC software AND the Xp Compatability mode software

Link: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx

So the point is you will have to do a little work to get the compatability mode working and you must have the appropriate versions of the software in order to use it (Pro or Ultimate).

One other note the virtualization software is typically SLOWER than Windows 7 software.
