problem with rebuilding database |
Betchatoo 7/9/2009 11:38:17 PM | I've been trying to rebuild my current data base from scratch. I keep getting error message "run time 13". What do I need to do?

If you're using TSN data and the folder contains files from June 09, there is a known bad file for ARP0628. Visit the following thread in the private area of the JCapper Message Board.
http://www.jcapper.com/MessageBoard/TopicReader.asp?topic=504&forum=Private
There, you'll find a description of what's wrong with the file and a link where you can download a replacement file that'll work. Replace the original file with the one that I manually repaired and try the rebuild from scratch again.
If the error happened while rebuilding a folder that DIDN'T contain the file for ARP0628 then you have a very similar set of circumstances happeneing but with a different data file. The error message itself usually identifies the offending file. You could also navigate to the target folder using Windows Explorer, find the DO_3.txt file, open it in Notepad by double clicking it, which will enable you to see and scroll through all of the files processed during the database build. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the file list to see the last file processed. 99 times out of 100 the very next file on the target folder when it doesn't appear in the DO_3.txt file is the bad file. The treatment of choice would be to replace it if possible or simply delete it.
Hope that helps...
If not email me a copy of all three DO_ .txt files from the target folder and I'll try to narrow down the offending file for you.
