Does weighting for upr or userfactor have to add up to 100? For all five userfactor slots 1-5 and upr. Also played around with using userfactor slots to help in play/pass decisions for upr selections. Try to combine upr with jpr. Now my jpr seems to be affected. So what effect does userfactors 1-5 have on jpr?

Q. Also played around with using userfactor slots to help in play/pass decisions for upr selections. Try to combine upr with jpr. Now my jpr seems to be affected. So what effect does userfactors 1-5 have on jpr?

A. The GroupName for JPR is DEFAULT. The only way to affect JPR with entries for UserFactors and/or UPR is to use DEFAULT as the GroupName... which is the one thing I try to warn users away from in the Help Docs.

If you've somehow affected JPR email me a copy of your c:\2004\JCapper.mdb file. I'll email you bck a copy of the file with the DEFAULT entries for JPR restored.

Q. Does weighting for upr or userfactor have to add up to 100?

A. No. No matter what weight (importance) you assign to your factors, the algorithm driving UPR and UserFactors is going to add up those weights and determine the percentage weight each factor tht you've named has relative to the total of all factors.

So if your UserFactor looks like this:

CPACE weight = 22
FORM weight = 8
BRIS10 weight = 33
------------------
Total 63

When the algorithm processes FORM it's going to assign it 8/63rds or approximately 12.7 percent of total importance for that Userfactor.
