JPR ROI |
AndrewH 5/28/2013 3:35:18 PM | Has anyone else noticed that JPR ROI is very low this year so far compared to last year. I think by .05? Crazy. Win percentage as down by a percent. Is this consistent with older years as well?

Charli125 5/29/2013 11:17:50 AM | I noticed it was starting to perform worse, and I think that's due to speed not performing as well as discussed in another thread. I went back and did some work on my UPR because of this and have seen a huge increase in performance.
I don't think JPR ever changes because we use it as a factor in our UDM's and it could screw things up, but you can edit your UPR as much as you want. If Jeff did find a way to improve it, he'd have to update it everywhere in the system and it could have a lot of impact on a lot of areas of the program.

Caveat 5/29/2013 11:51:49 AM | OK Guys...

Charli125 5/29/2013 12:05:44 PM | I don't remember how to make the table look pretty like yours, but here's mine for all of 2012 and 2013 through April. Still have some work to do with regard to weighting, but other than that I'm pretty happy with my UPR.

JimG 5/29/2013 3:26:57 PM | Agree with Charlie that early speed not performing as well can affect the JPR and JRating ROI. I think it is important to look at it by track, once you have a good sampling and split by turf/dirt.
For me, I focus on my UPR for turf racing. Always have since the advent of UPR in the program. Dirt racing at tracks I play tend to do good with JPR and JRating.
And I'll throw this out. AFR has been really good at all the tracks I play thus far this year. My experience is it will mostly even out by years end. It usually does.

Charli125 5/29/2013 5:48:31 PM | That's really why I love having both. JPR will always be stable and will remain the same, while UPR can change with changing trends. You always have a strong baseline with JPR in my opinion.
I don't use AFR much, but will take a look.

Agree with Jim... AFR and its counterpart ,form consensus, has shown leading the pack in most UDM's I have-looked at

AndrewH 6/29/2013 10:47:17 AM | JPR has been back on the rise the last few months! I had a feeling when I first posted this that JPR would come back up.
