Odds Cap |
Jens 6/16/2008 1:41:39 AM | Jeff,
I've been playing around building user factors and since I have found it helpful to adjust the impact value somewhat based on roi of the factors I decide to use (raise somewhat when roi is higher, lower when roi is lower) I had hoped that by using the odds cap it would keep the roi of various factor ranks (gaps etc.) from being distorted too much from a few bombs thereby helping me build stronger impact values. Unfortunately, unless I'm doing something wrong, the odds cap only affects the summary results of a query but not the factors being tested. Just wondering if I'm missing something?

Looking closely I now see how and why the odds cap is being applied in the Data Window's win - place - show summary at the top, but is being ignored in the factor breakout section.
The reason is human error (mine.)
Expect to see this corrected in the next program update that I publish.
THANK YOU for spotting this.
