I have been wondering this for a while, is there a way to display rank and or value of your upr in the last or last couple of races. I use bris and can compare bris figs. to see for every race, to check for decline or improvement. Drf has beyer figs and sf and tv. I assume hdw has similar. I think it could help weeding out money burners false favs. ect. Yours and my uprs # are unique to each person who develop them, so not so public knowledge. Any insights would be appreciated. Iuse my uprs as one of my primary factors and sometimes end up scratching my head over a horse running up the track. I think seeing past #s might help. lets discuss . thanks in advance rick

The only way you'd be able to do this is by keeping the historical UPRs in your own database. When analyzing a current race, there's no way to compute historical figs at that time, because UPR is dependent on the factor values of the other horses in the race.

With that in mind, you should also keep in mind that declining UPR isn't necessary an indication of declining form... it's also a measure of the relative strength of the opposition a horse is facing.

Steve is right. UPR for any horse in today's race is indicative of how that horse matches up vs. the other horses it faces today. (In my own case, how it matches up vs the other horses includes: ability from speed figs, class, pace, and form.)

That said, if you are operating in sql mode, the info (UPR, RANKUPR, and GAPUPR) is sitting in the starterhistory table for every starter for each of its previous starts in the starterhistory table of your c:\JCapper\Exe\JCapper2.mdb file.

If it's form you are interested in, there is form based data sitting in your starterhistory table too.

It may or may not be worth your while to do a data project outside of JCapper - but if you decided to take it on - all of the info is there.
