NEWBIE:Manual or automatic?? |
rosenowsr 11/1/2011 12:08:17 PM | Do certain items in JCapper Silver have to be figured manually?
Example: Is the divisor figured in the race that you are playing or is that done only in Live Play mode?

Charlie James 11/1/2011 1:12:50 PM | I do it in my head when looking at my html report --
fieldsize / dvsr
It makes me ask what min odds I'm willing to take on horses I'm about to bet.

rosenowsr 11/1/2011 1:51:18 PM | thanks Charlie. You playing now?

rosenowsr 11/2/2011 7:26:29 AM | I live about 30 miles from Hawthorne and have never been there.LOL I play PARX mostly, I like year around tracks.
The part I am learning to accept,(and it is hard to accept), is to let the software tell you what to do, and not try to make the software do what you want it to do.

Charlie James 11/2/2011 1:08:54 PM | Been betting horses my whole life. Specialize in trainer intent. Recorded everything in a notebook for 40+ years. Bumped into Jeff in 2003 and he (patiently) helped me automate my way of doing things.
I think the hardest lesson I had to learn as a young man was to trust my own eyes when it came to trips and trainer patterns. By that I mean ignore the way the horse looks to the rest of the world in the drf.
Not an easy thing to do. I got burned more than once passing well meant horses because the looked so ugly in the drf only to see them romp.

rosenowsr 11/3/2011 6:38:47 AM | I played horses regularly in my 20's and 30's then took a 20 year leave of absence and am back into it again.
I seem to do better with negative UDM's, the positive UDM,s always lead me to the cheapest horses on the card.
Being nosy, what are you using? Silver or Platinum?
Also, in case I forgot to mention it, THANKS for helping me out.If I get to be to much of a pain just tell me, I won,t take offense.

Charlie James 11/3/2011 12:06:32 PM | Platinum.
