Will Silver let me use Logicalfig in a UDM? It is in the pull down but I can't find where to add it.

Question 2: Is it ok to delete text files out of the 2011 database,or will it create problems?

Factor handles for LogicalFig are enabled in JCapper Platinum only (and are limited at that.)

The only way to "grab" LogicalFig (in the Platinum program) is when creating UPR and UserFactors. Once a UserFactor has been created, it becomes "grab-able" for use in UDMs.

As mentioned above, the ability to create UPR and UserFactors is a Platinum feature. It isn't part of the Silver program.

That said, over the past few weeks, I've been quietly working on a UserFactor interface for the Silver program.

I need to emphasize that this interface will only make a limited number of factors grab-able. However, I can't think of any reason why LogicalFig couldn't be among the shor list of factors enabled.

I would say look for that interface to be released as part of a new program update in the next 30 days or so.

The following text files on a target db folder are essential to JCapper program operation and are best left alone:

1. pl_profile.txt

2. The DO_3.txt file.

Deleting the pl_profile.txt file will prevent you from running Data Window queries in playlist file mode on a target folder.

Deleting the DO_3.txt file will disable your ability to run append builds on that folder - requiring a rebuild of that folder from scratch after adding more data and results files to that folder.

Deleting the older DO_1 and DO_2 .txt files will not have an impact. (Although the files are tiny and deleting them will have minimal impact on hard drive space.

The Missing_ .txt files give you a log and/or history of .JCP and .XRD files that were identified as missing on the target folder at the time of each database build run on that folder. The date that's part of each missing_ .txt file name corresponds to the date the db build was run.

Deleting Missing_ .txt files removes your ability to get at that info, but doesn't otherwise impair normal program operation.

Deleting *.DAT files will disable your ability to run append builds on that folder - requiring a rebuild of that folder from scratch after adding more data and results files to that folder.

The text files bearing the "F.txt" (without the quote characters) as the last 5 characters as part of the file name are the actual HDW chart text files.

Deleting *F.txt files disables your ability to use them separately outside of JCapper... I am currently aware of about 10-12 guys who are doing this.

Note that the F.txt files contain info that isn't found in .XRD results files. For that reason, there may well come a day when data found in the F.txt file becomes available inside of JCapper in some way. (So think carefully before deleting these.)

I think that about covers it.
