The long answer is here are the steps:
1. Set the Data Vendor to HDW.
In the User System Definitions Screen, look for the line (upper left hand screen area) labeled Data Vendor. Check the HDW box and hit the Save button.
2. Launch the HDW File Manager by clicking the HDW button on the face of the Main Module. (The button is located towards the top of the left side button stack.)
3. In the HDW File Mgr click the File Download Tool button.
4. In the HDW File Download Tool:
a. Click one of the Queue File buttons to queue up a list of files available for download from the HDW site.
b. Click the Synch To Disc button to synch up the list of files available for download from the HDW site agasint a list of HDW files already on your hard drive. (The interface will auto-select those files that you don't already have on your hard drive.)
c. Click the Download Files button to save the highlighted/selected files to the target folder on your hard drive.
5. In the HDW File Mgr, click the File Build Filter Tool button to launch the File Build Filter Tool.
6. Use the HDW File Build Filter Tool to run a file build routine to create either .JCP files or .XRD files using files downloaded from the HDW site as the source.
Here are the steps:
a. Select a file type from the drop down. Either: HDW J Binary Race File (*J*.*) -or- HDW Chart Results File (*F.*)
b. Using the Calendar Controls, select a start date and an end date. (Hint: If you know that you built .JCP files through yesterday you know that your start date is today's date.)
c. With the Auto-Pilot checkbox checked, click the APPLY button in the lower right hand corner of the File Build Filter Tool to run the file build routine.
The File Build Filter Tool will create comma delimited text .JCP files that can be loaded into JCapper (including the PPs Generator.)
PPs Generator -
Hint: Whenever you have card files loaded into JCapper via the Card Loader or Screen Two of the File Downloader, the Loaded Card Files Menu (at the top of the PPs Generator screen just to the right of the Files Menu) will be populated with a list of loaded card files. From there, just select a loaded card file from the menu to get pps for R1 at that card.
Alternately, you could click the File menu and then use the dialog box that pops up to select a .JCP file to be loaded into the PPs Generator.
Of course all of this is in the Help Docs and Videos...
