I believe my UPR is better than JPR (probably not, but at least
I want to find out if it is) and wanted to know if the odds line
for my UPR would be an improvement of JPR.

I set my odds line display type to "User Def OL" in System
Definitions and ??? Didn't know what to do next.

The UDM Wizard has a check box for OL Test and never knew
what that did. Do I have to check it to get my UPR odds line
to show on the HTML report?

Obviously, I want it to show on the HTML report instead of the
JPR defined odds line.

Where else would my data be affected? MLOR3? ??????

HELP!!!

Under system settings you can change the HTML Report to show User Defined ML

Also would run through key factors report and see how your User Defined ML matches up with the JPR ML. Have had situations where my UPR outperforms JPR but no significant difference when looking at ML

No. Checking that box makes the odds line driven by whatever ml prob algorithm you happen to be using display in brackets for horses flagged by UDMs on the text report.

The other thing I would like to touch on is that changing the setting to User Defined Odds Line and/or making changes to the table entries that drive UPR does not do anything to change/edit existing data sitting in a pl_profile.txt file or the starterhistory table.

Pl_profile.txt file content and starterhistory table data content needs to be changed before you will be able to see the effect of your setting changes in the Data Window.

I guess that's a long winded way of saying:

You need to rebuild each folder from scratch before you will see the effect of your setting changes when looking at individual folder pl_profile.txt file(s) in the Data Window.
