First, FTS...

1. Bring up the UDM in the UDM Wizard.

2. On the modify screen, select "Filters" as the factor from the factors drop down.

3. Click the Preset Filter Tool button. The filter codes drop down in the preset filter tool contains 700+ preset filter codes. The drop down responds to key strokes.

The filter codes that control number of lifetime starts start with the characters LT.

Open up the filter codes drop down and key in LT. The drop down will "jump" to the filter codes dealing with lifetime starts.

From there, scroll down a little (a mouse wheel helps.)

You want to add the specific filter code "LT1+" (without the quote characters) to the UDM Definition -- So select "LT1+ avoid lifeTimeStarts >=1" (again without the quote characters) from the filter codes drop down.

This will cause the filter code "LT1+" (without the quote characters) to appear in the small preview window (almost there.)

Look at the filter code you are about to add to the UDM Definition. Once you are ok with what you see in the small preview window, click the ADD Filter button. This will move the filter code to the big preview window.

Double check the filter code(s) you see in the big preview window, click the SAVE and CLOSE button.

This will close the Preset Filter Tool and write all of the filter codes in the big preview window to the UDM Definition.

After doing the above your playlist file UDM will flag first time starters only.

Factors not controlled by filter codes such as AFR, Form Rating, Workout Brilliance can be added as shown in the Simple Basic UDMs Video...

Basic instructions for adding a factor to a UDM Definition:

1. On the Modify Screen of the UDM Wizard, select the factor name from the factors drop down.

2. Check the Test Box.
--When the test box is checked, that factor is active. When the box is unchecked, that factor is not active.

3. Key desired factor contraints into the boxes for rank, gap, numeric value, and/or gap.

4. Hit the Save button.

5. Double check your work. Run the UDM through the Data Window broken out by whatever factor constraint you just added to the UDM. (Verify that the changes you made are being picked up by the Data Window.)
