The following are stored in the c:\2004\JCapper.mdb file:

1. UDM Definitions.

2. ImpactValue table entries that define UserFactors and UPR.

3. User's System Definitions.

4. User's Enhanced Settings.

5. TrackAbbrev table entries for Scratch Bot.

All of your other "work" is stored in the c:\JCapper\Exe\JCapper2.mdb file. This includes the following:

1. Sql Mode factor setup.

2. Custom Sql Mode HTML Report Layout.

3. StarterHistory table data - for running the Data Window in Sql Mode.

4. TripNotes.

I strongly recommend backing up both files on a regular basis.

If you are operating on more than one computer, I suggest designating one of them as the "master." Make all changes to UDMS, UserFactors, UPR, etc. on the master machine - and then copy the .mdb file from your master to the other machines.

... one other thing to keep in mind that'll make your life easier when copying your mdb file from one machine to another: whatever you have set as your default folder, make sure a folder with that name exists on the second machine.

Great point, Steve.

In the event that you copy the c:\2004\JCapper.mdb file from Machine A to Machine B, and Machine B is lacking the default folder structure persisted in the DFM on Machine A:

When first launched, the Main Module will look inside of the c:\2004\JCapper.mdb file for needed active data folder definitions - and fail because those folders are not (yet) present on Machine B.

When this happens the Main Module is programmed to disable itself until the user corrects the situation.

To correct this situation, the user must do one of the following before restarting the Main Module:

1. Using Windows Explorer (or My Computer) - create new folders bearing the same names as the active data folders found on Machine A. (This is probably the easier/less technical of the two options presented.)

-or-

2. Edit the folder names stored in the SystemInstall table so that the folder names persisted in the interface are actual folders found on Machine B.

-- This can be done by clicking System Settings button on the disabled Main Module, followed by clicking the SystemInstall Table Interface button on the System Settings Interface.

-- From there, use the SystemInstall Table Interface to edit folder names for the following data fields:

1. DataFileFolder1
2. DataFileFolder2
3. DataFileFolder3

Hint: Click the scrollbar at the bottom of the interface to expose the above data fields.

Hint: Use your mouse cursor to grab the top right edge for each of the above data fields and expand their width... thus making them wide enough so that the entire folder name becomes visible to the eye.

Hint: When keying folder names into the interface, include a backslash character immediately to the far right of the folder name as shown in the following screenshot:
