California chrome has done everything asked of him
we will see today if he goes into the history book as one of the greats.
IF I was to seriously consider a challenger, it would firstly be a fresh horse like tonalist.

Unlike last year's Belmont Stakes nothing really sticks out at me.

4 mtp and I've decided to sit and watch.

Good luck to all.

very disturbing for me to see that
I hope it is not serious and that there was not deliberate attempt to injure the horse on the part of the jockeys

Probably happened in the first stride or two out of the gate. Inasmuch as injuries go -- generally not that serious and they do recover with time off. Horses are individuals and some actually do win races with same or similar injury.

Dead heat 4th within -- what?? -- 2L after 12F. If clean trip/no injury is he 2L better than that? Hard to say.

Imo, owner's post race comments a complete embarrassment for the sport. Win or lose -- a true sportsman -- congratulates the winner for being better that day. I'm a big believer that anyone can handle winning. That's easy. How we handle adversity is what defines us.
