DYNAMIC FILTER TOOL TUTORIAL

LAUNCH THE DYNAMIC FILTER TOOL
In the UDM Wizard Modify UDM Screen, select FILTERS from the factors drop down. Then click the DYNAMIC FILTER TOOL button.

FACTOR
In the Dynamic Filter Tool, select a FACTOR from the factors drop down. For example, if you want to add a constraint for PAL Rank then select PAL Rank.

CONTEXT
In the Dynamic Filter Tool, select a CONTEXT from the context drop down. For example, if you want your filter to apply to Maiden Claiming races only select "M maiden claiming" from the drop down.

BEHAVIOR
In the Dynamic Filter Tool, select a BEHAVIOR from the behavior drop down. For example, if you want to set a MAX RANK for your selected factor (in this case PAL) then select MAX from the drop down.

NUMERIC CUTOFF
In the Dynamic Filter Tool, select a NUMERIC CUTOFF from the numeric cutoff drop down. For example, if you want to set a MAX RANK=1 for your selected factor (in this case PAL) then select 1 from the drop down. If you do not see the specific number you want to use in the drop down then select Prompt For Value from the drop down and key your desired cutoff into the input box prompting you for a cutoff.

SMALL PREVIEW WINDOW
The filter code under construction will appear in a small preview window located just underneath the drop downs used for making selections. Each time you make a selection using one of the drop downs the filter code under construction in the small preview window will change to match your selection.

ADD FILTER BUTTON
Once you are satisfied with your drop down selections, move the filter code under construction from the small preview window to the large preview window by clicking the ADD FILTER button.

DELETE FILTER BUTTON
You can remove a filter code from the large preview window by making selections in the drop downs so that the filter code under construction matches the filter code in the large preview window that you wish to remove. Once the filter code in the small preview window matches the filter code in the large preview window that you wish to remove, clicking the DELETE FILTER button will remove the filter code from the large preview window.

LARGE PREVIEW WINDOW
All of the filter codes in the entire UDM Definition will appear in a large preview window. The purpose of the large preview window is to allow you to be able to see every filter code before you commit them to the table by clicking the Save and Close button.

SAVE AND CLOSE BUTTON
Once you are satisfied with all of the filter codes in the large preview window, click the SAVE AND CLOSE button. This will close the Dynamic Filter Tool and write all of the filter codes to the Profile Table. Focus will return to the UDM Wizard Modify Screen.

RESET BUTTON
Whenever you wish to repopulate the large preview window with only those filter codes that were present when the Dynamic Filter Tool was first opened, click the RESET button.

CLEAR BUTTON
Clicking the CLEAR button will clear all filter codes from the large preview window.

CANCEL BUTTON
Whenever you wish to close the Dynamic Filter Tool without persisting the filter codes in the large preview window to the Profile Table (and committing them to the UDM Definition) click the CANCEL button. This will cause the Dynamic Filter Tool to close. Filter codes will not be written to the Profile Table.
